| This is the second occasion to lose an ORVM ... both mirrors were lost while the vehicle was stationary while parked. So no whack while vehicle was in motion, but simple vandalism or they just fell off. The first mirror was found dangling by a hawker who returned it to me. Second one went missing. Both mirrors got detached at the exact same point of this CAST METAL pillar at the hole where a spring is attached to the main mirror assembly. This weak point seems to be a manufacturing defect, as both my mirrors detached thenselves at this same point. Anyone else lost a mirror in the same manner?

| I have never ever had problems with my Mirrors but like I said once before I think that the plastic is not good enough for the extreme temperatures which you have in India The problem is unheard of over here to the best of my notice ! If this is the problem then you should contact Renault !!!Saumil thats a job for you | |

| The plastic has not failed ... its the metal part that is attached to the spring within the mirror assembly that has structurally failed. And the crack occured in exactly the same position in both ORVMs.

| I too got a dangling right side ORVM, which has been broken from exactly same point what tolmai mentioned in his post. Initially I applied some Araldite (Glue) and fixed but now again today araldite failed.
I was too thinking in tolmai's way to reattache spring from some other point.
CAN SOME ONE TELL ME HOW TO REMOVE ONLY MIRROR FROM ORVM? | |
