Centrally Placed Power Window Console:
Most French cars have power window consoles in center. Apart Renault check out Citroen. Other then driving ergonomics reason is to allow fellow passenger if any with the priviledge and access to console. Not necessarily only the driver will have such rights. This is SAFETY FEATURE where in a driver can not be able to hold other passengers on ransom by locking them inside, as in other cars only he has access to power windows and window locks. Poor passengers are helpless and depend on driver console to unlock and provide them their window access.

Front Door Opening Despite Centrally Locked:
This is in fact a safety feature as rightly said. It is to avoid lock up of passengers and driver in unpredictable cases of accident where the central locking mechanism stops functioning causing all doors lock up and no emergency escape route. Imagine you are in your car which is centrally locked and your central locking mechanism suddenly has stopped functioning. Now you are in emergency situation like fire, accident etc. You door simply does not open up....

Maximum Passenger Safety at the Rear:
Logan rear seat comes secured with metal shafts making it very safe from rear. This safety is not only from collision due to accidents but also from various heavy load baggage likely placed in Logan's huge boot space which obviously would be on high momentum in a moving car. Imagine you having some 100 kgs in boot and you brake suddenly at 110 kmph and your rear seat does not have any safety holders to restrict boot load in boot itself. Obviously the boot load shall crash your spinal cords under such circumstances.

Metal Protection For Engine From Beneath:
Only car in this segment to have metal engine guard.

Unbeatable Fuel Economy:
Reports show figures ranging from 11 kmpl till as high as 50 kmpl. If all is not true on an average 15 kmpl is believable, which is excellent economy for a sedan in this segment.

Tubeless tyres as a standard feature:
On indian roads this is a must to escape from surprise punctures.

The " Engine Hood Release Latch places opposite to drivers seat "is a little unbelievable but rest all is great!

For me too it is a bit difficult to gulp. However this is what i found.
If some one has some better reason kindly share.

There has to be some reason to this, in case if this does not suffice, as this is the case with many cars.

Engine Hood Release Latch placed opposite to drivers seat: I can tell you why this is on that side it is because OURs are as well. and it is part of the World Logan Build just like your wipers are made for Left hand drive as well

That was obvious! The Logans we get ere are made LHD so the wipers and light/wiper switch and also the hood release all on the other side! I doubt this is any special feature!

i think the designer who designed the RHD version of logan forgot about the wiper placement, wiper,indicator and head light switch and the engine hoop opener.....
so these have been placed the way the LHD version of logan has.....
