hi, i was wondering that most of the high profile cars have a centre arm rest in its rear seat.............and even the hi-class mercedes-benz has cup holder and perhaps a vanity box as well.............. i our logan, the centre arm rest is separate, which you have to buy from the dealer.........so is it not possible to have a rear arm rest fixed to the seat??????????
is it possible anyway??????????

You could fit an armrest to the back seat but you would then have a 4 seater Stu

yes i get you, but now-a-days in india most of the cars with rear arm-rest have a folding mechanism in which the arm-rest can be folded back into the seat when not required......... if you get my idea then ok, or i will post a pic and show you the process......

yes, airbag and abs cannot be fixed later, but the cost is also too high..........
airbag, as i know, is mandatory by law in europe and america..but in india, hardly any car have airbags and abs, but airbags and abs are not necessary either......in india of course

Nilanjan, Not a very easy possibility! Not in local aftermarket shops for sure! These car modifiers can do it cause the whole back rest has to be changed! This the reason why even the Edge has just a portable armrest like a pillow!

yes,i was thinking the same about logan edge...........so if i have to get such a seat ,then i have to replace the rear seat, but i can do it??????????????
bcoz a wide bodied car like logan can easily have a rear armrest..........and that also a designed one would increase the interior looks as well........

If one is looking for a foldable arm rest, then the seat will obviously have to be modified (cutting the seat to make space).
I have seen one arm-rest, that has clips on both sides and fits on the buckles of the seat belt of the centre passenger.
Other one is that only lies in the middle of the seat and is loose i.e. not clipped with anything (just like a pillow).
Have attached a pic of the one that is available in Mahindra Dealerships:
