i understood that in India roads are not so good, if it's true, i recomand 205/60/15. rims must be 6,5Jx15 10x4 of course, you can use and 205/50/16 6,5Jx16, depends how bad is roads where you drive. with these tyres, driving will be rough and it's posible to break the rims. yes, renault scenic have 16" 10x4(10cm between nuts and 4nuts) rims. above 3 posts is 1 picture of the rims before buying them

Ye I think then I should go for 205/60 R 15 wheels. I will b going to California this Saturday. After I am back after 3 months I will definitely upgrade my tyres. Big tyres look damn sexy.

Even I'm tempted to shift to 205s. This will be my third tyre change in less than 12 months!

actually none! Earlier, I was unhappy with the grip levels of the stock tyres. Now, I just want to go for the look and better rims!

I have. Went for 205/55/R15. Ride has become a little hard now, which was expected. I'll not recommend 16". 50 profile will not be good for our roads.

You have two options in 15". - 195/60-R15 - 205/55-R15
60 profile will obviously be more comfortable. 205 will obviously be wider! You chose what you want.

I have bought Logan two years ago. Wheels were tyre dimension of 165/80/R14. The second official dimension for R14 is 185/70. Higher modification of Logan in our country is producing with dimension 185/65/R15. Use of other dimensions will break conditions of a manufacturer's warranty. I have changed my tyres 165/80 on 185/70, only because of bad friction.

Hey Logan bros....
A question here, I am looking for new shoes and rims and i am being offered 5 rims(Prestige) and 5 tyres(Goodyear NCT 5) 195x55 R15 for about 20k. He ll keep the stock ones which are 6000kms old. Does it sound like a deal worth considering???

Adam, 195/55 is a wrong upsize.
When upsizing, the difference in rolling radius should not be +/- 2%.
Correct upsize for stock size 185/70 R14 would be 195/60 R15.
For more info, check this URL: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
Also, do look for Yokohamas or Michelins or even Goodyear GIIIs if they fit in your budget. The price he's giving is quite okay, but do try crosschecking with other dealers as well. And insist on buying tyres with a bill & warranty. There is a lot of imported/grey crap out there.

I can only talk about Delhi right now. There are only a handful of active members from Delhi/NCR. If you guys want I can start a new thread in the offtopic section and take it from there.
My choice would be not just meet, but to go for a short drive to a nearby place.. such as Neemrana.. would be a great photo-op as well!

I would stick with the tyre upgrade recommended by the manufacturer. Surface area contact will go up because of the overall diameter increase and also there should a marginal increase in height. I am fed up with the underbody making contact with road humps. I was seriously considering 195/60/15 but the height increase would be close to nil. The link provided in this thread will show the difference.

Logan have above 170 mm ground clearence then also touching humb means suspension is soft not so stiff.Upgrading tyre may affect the mileage.
