| Last week I went to Chennai by Logan. In Chennai, the underbody scrapped the road/pothole couple of times. After I got back here I found there is a guard/plate which protects the cable and that was scrapped. I know it is meant for that. But it also has scrapped on the 'railing' part i.e. under the door, on the bottom. Is that something to be worried about? I will be taking it up with the service center people but thought all your inputs will be helpful. | |

| There is a cover just underneath the engine. If that has cracked, then its better to replace it for added protection. I have got the chassis hit the road speed brakers and pot holes quite a no. of times. I told that to the service people, but they said nothing to worry about that. I have hit the chassis right on the first day of purchase. It was a loud noise, but no damage done. These sort of events are taken into consideration while launching cars in India, I suppose. In the service station I did found a Logan whose cover under the engine was broken. | |

| I am planning to buy a underbody spray (WIN) and use it while the vehicle is hoisted for servicing. But I will consult the service advisor before that and consider the opinion of people in this forum. People, inputs please! | |

| Surya, I was told it is something you spray on the underbody to avoid rust formation. You can get it in 'dull black' colour. I tried the windscreen fluid from COM-PAINT and it seems to be good. | |

| some roads we have can be terrible as far as potholes are concerned, but things getting better all the time. Speedbump design is something of a mystery to all of us, it seems, as there is no standard speedbump design (which there should be), there can be some ridiculous ones where you will scrape the undercarriage no matter how slow u drive nor how lightly the vehicle is loaded. And if u can scrape the bottom of a Logan, u can imagine how bad things can be! | |

| Stu, the humps here are made unscientifically. Some 2 months back or so I happened to come across an article in the local newspaper which mentioned accidents happening due to badly designed road humps. You have to see it to believe it. There are times when I have stopped the vehicle completely and wondered as to how I can pass the hump without the scrapping the bottom. | |
