| Hi.... Can some body help me out in this. I have observed pecular thing in my Logan. The coolent level is reduced drastically from Max level to almost Min. level in just 5 days of driving (approx.165 kms). There was no reduction in coolent level in previous 1600 kms. Has any other loganite faced similar problem? Which type of the coolent, engine oil, is used in Logan 1.4 GLX | |

| Get it checked at the service station, the tube may have been cut. There can be various reasons for the same, may be a rat or even wear and tear.. Get it checked asap

| Could be a bad head gasket - But in a relatively new car ! Hoping its not that and a simpler leak in the cooling circuit somewhere.. Please do let us know what it was. | |

| Hi, I have experienced the same in the initial period of driving before my first service. Within a span of two days the coolant reduced drastically. During my first service they topped the same, and ever since the level has remained the same even after 9000Kms of driving. | |

| After they chased/butchered/evacuated the rats from the air circulation unit, I took the car and later when I checked the coolant level, it was at the 'minimum' mark. I brought it to half full level by adding fresh water. The next day at the service center they refilled it above the maximum mark. I showed it to the service in-charge and they revved the engine at a high RPM for than 3-5 minutes. The coolant level came down from above maximum to a little above minimum right before my eyes and it stayed that way. So, if you are noticing coolant level dropping even after 1 or 2 immediate refills then you have to take up the matter with the appropriate people. Of course, as Stu mentioned earlier look for those visual signs to confirm it completely. | |
