| Subject: Which ATF Fluid? Tue Jan 10, 2017 8:45 pm | |
| My car is a: 2010 Logan MCV, 1.6 petrol, automatic. It has 172,000 KM on it, and since I bought it two weeks ago I have become concerned that the automatic transmission shifting isn't quite right. It is possible that the ATF was never changed. In any event, I would like to change my ATF, but I can't find which one to use! My other cars all used Dexron III, however, a garage here told me 'absolutely not! Use only the Renault brand.' Aside from seeing references to 'Elf', I do not know which ATF is correct for this tranny. Any help appreciated! (BTW: The registration shows motor: K4MC6, but no transmission ID.) Jeff | |

| Jeff, the Logan's which are here in India are with K7J and K7M Petrol engines and a Diesel variant. Automatic transmission were not joined with these engines.
K4M petrol engines are also there in Dacia/Renault Duster and maybe you can get the answers there. Although any good ATF from a good company will do, but Renault recommends Elf. | |
