| Hi All,
I'm having a Verito D4 and completed 94500 KMs so far. Last two days I'm hearing a noise while driving the car and called mahindra service centre technician. He told me that the Axle boot was the issue but needs to replace the whole axle unit and it cost almost 11K. Is it wise to drive the vehicle for 200 or 300 KMs in a single stretch with this condition?
Any suggestions are welcome. Also I'm from Trivandrum Kerala. So any one have any good mechanic contact in this area it will be helpful for me.
Thanks & Regards Jyothish

| You do not need to have the whole axel changed ! you just need a Boot fitting it is not wise to drive a long journey if the boot has split because all of the Grease will fly out and the joint will get worn and then you WILL need to change the axel | |

| Hi All, My Logan crossed 8 yrs now. There are two problems that I have been facing for sometime.
1. When I start the engine in the morning, there is some kind of rattling noise that I feel from inside around the brake/clutch pedal area. When I accelerate the noise goes away. But again in neutral gear or low acceleration it comes up again. However after 15 mins of drive or so when the engine gets hot it goes away. So this is happening mostly when I start the engine in the morning.
2. In higher torque e.g around 1.8k there is a loud groaning "booooo" kind of noise coming from the tyres and goes away once I lower the torque. Just for information all the tyres are new and balancing/alignment is done. Also a month back I changed both the front suspension. Previous to changing the suspension this noise used to come only when I turn right in high speed on highways. The mechanic checked and said everything is alright. However he said that one belt has become very worn out and needs to be replaced. Its around 21000 km since I have changed the timing belt around.
Anyone else having these issues? Looking for expert advice.

| The noises from the clutch area I would not worry about until (IF) they get worse The other noise is it the tires themself tire pressures ? | |

| Well, for the rattling sound, it went away after engine oil change. But surfaced again after a week. For the second problem, I did check the tire pressures. They are around 30 psi. Mechanik showed me that the engine mount (which is rubber) has almost melted and need to be changed later and that might be causing all the noise. Hoever I am not fully convinced with that. Might be I will try changing the belt as he mentioned. This rattling noise sounds very disturbing to ears. | |

| Finally got these problem solved. Needed to change the Engine Mount, Gear box mount, both rear wheel bearing.
Also changed the repaired the caliper pins which got thin and was causing irritating metalic noise whenever the car was vibrating.
I changed the clutch cable too and the clutch is around 50% less hard now.
However I am facing one problem. Whenever I am trying to shift to 1st or 2nd gear I have to press the clutch all the way to the floor to make the gears work. Otherwise the gear lever is getting stuck. Anyone faced this issue?
