| Hi,
I bought a used Logan recently. I did not notice it while buying, but the fuel meter always shows full even if its in reserve. Can anyone tell me how to fix it? Is it a gauge issue in the tank or some electronic issue?

| it can be a fuel gauge problem and can also happen if fuel is filled while the key is in on condition in ignition i mean not turned off fully, and if this is the problem you just need to reset it and for that you have to press the trip and time reset button with your left hand in ignition fully off then while pressing the button turn the key to ignition but dont start the car, stay like this for some seconds i mean keep the button pressed you will see some numbers then release the button and press it again 2 times then you will see the estimated fuel in your cars tank in ltrs. then leave it that way the techometer needle and speedo meter needle will be moving by themselves and after about 7 to 8 minutes evrything will be back to normal and if it just needed a reset it will be fine now.. and remember never fill fuel while the engine is running or even the ignition is in on condition it should be fully turned off | |

Hi Nitin, I tried as you suggested, it worked till i switched off the ignition. When i switched it on, it was back to as it was..showing full again. I guess its a problem with the guage or wiring. Do you know how to check the wiring for shorts? Regards, Roshan Pillai

| Fuel gauge is connected to the Fuel Pump Assembly. There is some mechanism to get the reading from there and show it in dashboard gauge.
May be some setting from there are disturbed.
Thanks Arvind | |
