| Hi,
I am driving logan from last 1.5 years. I purchase it second hand. Last month timing belt was broken on mileage(56000). So I repaired it from a local mechanic due to unavailability of authorized workshop in nearby locations.
The mechanic change timing belt and engine head valve too. I run it 1500 km after repairing. I am facing two problem now
1. After that I am feeling a lot of performance degrade. 2. Two times my engine give a lot of external noise and not started. Mechanic told me the reason of noise is valve tapped was too tight. When he make lose some of them its working fine.
Do I need to adjust valve tapped again for performance? What is the correct valve clearances for logan.
Please advise what to do? | |

| Was this a Mechanic or a Butcher what repaired the car ? he should have set the timing and the Valves ! and How can you notice a degrade in Performance if you never had the car before when you bought it it was broken ? Clearances as far as I know are - 0.10 mm cold (inlet) - 0.25 mm cold (exhaust) | |

| This is a perfect example of writing on this forum asking for help and not saying what exactly is wrong ! if you had better explained about the Vehicles problems we could have helped you and saved you workshop costs (Visits) I advise everone to get a Code reader for there cars they are cheap and will tell you what is wrong | |
