| I have recently purchased 1.4 Logan which has Open Loop CNG kit in it. Its been a month now. Every time I drove, i drove on petrol. Last week when I was going out my petrol level had dipped and I thought of driving it on CNG. The care went smooth. After driving for a while, I noticed temp bar increasing and completing full 8 bars. In no time steam/ smoke started coming out of bonnet. What Luck I was near a petrol pump and the staff out there were nice to me. They helped me open the boonet and asked me to keep it open for 10 mins till the temp cools down. On checking we found the coolant tank had become totally empty. I allowed it to cool till the temperature bar came down to 4 bars. I added 1 litre coolant inside the coolant bottle. Started my vehicle and was reaching home. I drove harldy 1 km and the temperature bar again started shooting up. This time i was driving on Petrol and not cNG. What could be the possible reason for it ? I have not had a chance to check the fan. Not sure if that was the culprit. Please advise Also are there any known issues with Logan 1.4 and CNG? How much average should I expect from CNG? | |

| check your coolant thermostat ! I do not think this is a Gas related problem ! I think your thermostat is stuck closed Also check your OIL and the inside of the oil filler cap for a white mess !!!! you may have blown your cylinder head gasket | |
