| In my DLS diesel dash board panel indicates something wrong with glow plugs. My workshop mechanic ( reliable and trust worthy) checked and found all the plugs in order. He could not locate any other problem. But he says there may be problem in the related relay or micro processor linked to ignition/glow plugs. He has no facility to check that and advises me to go to a nearby dealer who might have the necessary soft ware to diagnose the problem using a laptop.
CAN SOMEONE HELP if this is OK.
About ten days ago similar problem occurred at that time it was diagnosed as blow up of one of the glow plugs that was replaced with a new one and it worked alright.
However there is no problem in starting the engine.

| Dear Venkat,
Refer the location of EGR valve behind the engine, which has the one electrical socket in which 6 different cables are plugged in.Check the same if your glow plug light is continuous on the panel, the wiring i mentioned may be the culprit or the connection in the same is wrong. Is your car starting alright in the morning. If yes, I'm sure the connector mentioned above must have issues.

My technical man located the EGR valve and tried locate the fault without opening the same. He could not do much and the problem continues. He does not want totake out the valve set up and open the same for any fault as he things that might disturb the original settings in the micro processor that may lead to other problems. Probably I have to take the vehicle to the dealer.
Mean while I have to take a long drive to take up an urgent assignment. Is it safe to make this trip?
