| Hello,
I recently purchased a verito vibe (which has the same renault engine 1.5 dci with 65 ps of power) and have done 1000kms. I have couple of questions on the behavior of the temperature gauge:
1) My temperature gauge shows a reading of 2 as soon as I drive around 10 Kms another few kms it becomes 4. Is it normal behavior? 2) My temperature gauge shows a reading of 2 and when I shut down the vehicle for say 1-2 hours and put on the ignition it still shows 2. Is it normal behavior?
I went to the service center today and they told me it is normal behavior.
Can I know the experts view here?
Please note that Verito Vibe Demo guy told me that if the temperature bar goes to 5 there is some issue with the engine.
Regards mav | |

| Its Normal ! It will normally go up to 4 unless you are doing a lot of town work and it hits 5 but by then the electric fan will have come on and do not worry if it comes on after the car is turned off this is normal and saves parts overheating when turned off | |

| Thanks a ton martin I really appreciate your response on this. So that means It is alright to have 4 squares lit. One more question just to increase my General knowledge , how much time will the engine take to cool down from 4 squares to Zero once I power off my car? Is it 4 hours? | |

| Hi M4verick,
Having 4 bars illuminated for the temperature is fine. The behaviour shown by your car is perfectly normal. As per Mahindra, you must worry and call the service center if it reaches the 5th mark. But going by my 5 years+ experience, it did not do so even once.
