Underbody Sound

Hi,

Need suggestion on the following. My 5 yr + 1.4 GLX has recently developed a metallic sound when I start the car movement or brake and or sometimes over the bump. The sound seems most probably from the suspension, the tie rods, power steering but not sure. One of the RHS axle has been replaced 1.5 rs back. Any idea anyone on the issue? The car other wise is running just fine and the sound is only in the above situation only.

A quick update, met up with my local mechanic. He said with certainty that the engine mounts are either damaged or getting loose and only by accessing the engine he can correctly predict. I want to know if anyone had a similar problem...note that Delhi sees extreme weather ( hot/cold) the possibility of the mounting failure is significant, getting brittle/cracked etc.

It seems to be a weak Spot on the Mahindra Logan ! I would get a petition up and running because I hear about this all the time from you guys !!
and as for Extreme weather ! The Logan is made just for that We in Europe get temperatures of -25 Cel often or more and in the summer we have 35 Cel so the extremes are out of it

Martin, thanks for the quick response.....I guess what you see in winters we more than make it up in summers ( <45 Dec C)......but still want to know how difficult is the work. I am happy to spend time with my local mechanic in case its a DIY stuff....as can't trust the local guys completely to be on his own!
