I took a test drive of Fiat Linea petrol version. Spacewise its a huge disappointment. If three people sits at the back the people (Avg ht >5' 9") siiting on the two sides will have their heads touch the ceiling. The car has a front seat arm rest which if put horizontally, makes the gear shift too obstructive. SO u have to keep it vertically during driving. If u cannot rest ur arm, then why should I call it arm rest?? The rear window is too small. The engine is noiseless which is common to any modern passeneger car. Acceleration-wise it is as per Logan The car jerks too much when manuevering over pot holes (on which Logan glides through) However as far as the cosmetic luxuries are concerned this is no doubt a class ahead in its category. The rear AC vent, electronically controlled ORVM, chrome lining along the side windows, side pockects on the rear doors, utility pockets along the gear console are a few to name. As far as I am concerned, I found it illogical to shift from Logan to Linea unless one only looks for external appearance.

guys why are we comparing Linea with Logan. Acceleration is not same as Logan. Try driving it with A.C. on. It lacks power which a 1.4 GLX does not. Space obviously no sedan can beat Logan as space is Logan USP. Linea is good in looks agreed. But rest all is crap. Now again if Linea was at a market price same as Logan or lesser then it may be worth a deal. But definitely not at this price point.

I've already seen posts about rusting problems in the linea in other forums.. is it really that common? |

I checked on the Lenia before finalizing the Logon... Yes it is eye catcher and head turner....But functionality wise..... Logon scores ........ in all areas except for the makeover.. which i feel can be done for Logon by adding accessories.... Martin : I had fiat palio.. the petrol engine was extremely good and the overall experience of patio is very good..... how Logon competes with fiat vehicle in Europe.... both has very good petrol engines.. and i feel fiat has better diesel engine... what u say..........

i saw one advertisement for Linea today in local newspaper. when i had seen such an advertisement couple of months back it carried a clear USP which can be easily seen and read and understood. This was related to its good looks... in this one i see that point is changed. this one carries a different feature. This one is related with blue & Me system that they have using which mobiles on windows platforms can be handled easily right from steering console. However they have not mentioned about the handset need to be on windows platform clearly. anyways what i am trying to convey is perhaps the good looks formula might have miserably failed.

as such i feel if one should go in for fiat better go for diesel as their diesel engine stands commandable. also i would say compared to linea, punto may be a better deal. it is priced competitively.
