Thanks,
I think its better to not fold the mirrors.

I made Left side closed and right side always open.

Additional wiring is not a concern.
Many OE Genuine accessories also need to be wired that way.

But given the size of the Original Logan Mirrors, I think MR should launch the "ORVM w/ Side Turn Indicators" as a genuine accessory. Ofcourse with a snazzy design that gels with the overall appearance of the car.

Not the Dumbells that we have Smile

Hi,

I had a chat with the service centre guy regarding the mirror. I also got the same response that they are to be left open. So, I also keep them open. But as I drive in Kolkata where I have to travel through narrow lanes sometimes, and the mirrors are body coloured, both the mirrors got minor scratches in them.

The mirror design of Logan should be changed in order to suit to Indian conditions.

With Regards,

Kaustuv Goswami.

My mirrors are powered and heated but the power bit is only to move the inside mirror .I do clap mine in though if I park on a busy road and then when I pull them out I do this carefully not just pull and let it fly back

guys, not sure how will you all take this.

but i feel that the ORVMs and the bumper colors though useless and below quality is a plus point.

this is because
1. small damage caused on ORVMs (bruises) is hardly noticable. However this is true only if they are black plastic without any color on them. Not same for body colored ORVMs. In those even minor scratch is clearly visible.
2. Color damage caused on bumpers like scratches, can be re-painted easily and nicely without spending too much.

also it is a fact that both bumpers and ORVMs are most vulnerable to bruises.

This is another reason you will finf why most SUV's that do tru off-roading are sold with option of material coloured bumpers
