Recently i had driven my 1.6 GLS to Nainital and back and i have done 9600 km. No noise at all till date and i am getting about20-21 kmpl in highways and 13-15 in delhi with ac on. The only problem i found was that the mat in the driver seat moves up and sometimes covers the accelarator lever and i had twice this happen when i was climbing the mountain road. I had to switch of the engine, apply brakes and adjust the same and move on. it was scary for some moment. better have smaller mats which dont reach the pedals. Car is a Gem otherwise

Buy anti slip mats, or mats which have a hole near the seat side for clipping it along with your carpet. They help a lot

Velcro. My Logan Edge has button type knobs that hold the mat in place.

Dear , you have mentioned really small but valid point, same here. i frequently face the same problem when i drive in city even. so better to have small size mates for long journey , because it can cause problem when it really covers the gap for accelerator ...

If you do some study on the subject, you will probably read that one particular automobile major did a redesign of the OE footmats and had the vehicles' mats changed all across USA and other countries (for customers who already bought vehicles of the brand), for averting a possible disaster of footmats fouling with the accelerator of under the brakes.

I haven't faced this problem though and my mats do not have any restraints to hold it place. The rear ones do tend to move because they are small.

| I have faced the same problem and removed the mat for that driving period and moved on. I am planning to change the Mat. Most of the times it moves over Clutch.. _________________ Vyenky

I think it depends on the material on the bottom part of the mat.
