I am facing a peculiar problem. Whenever I fill up my Logan's petrol tank and if the windows are closed the whole cabin smells of petrol. The smell goes away after some time after I open the windows. This happens only when I fill the petrol tank. Other wise there is no smell of petrol in the cabin even when the windows are closed. Is this normal?

| Do you have AC/Blower on when filling petrol? A problem faced by many Logan owners here and abroad is its vents do not close properly, letting external air circulate inside even when vents are set to inner air circulation mode (AC on). A typical example can be experienced by having AC on and stalling your car just behind any other vehicle (specially Diesel), you can smell burning Diesel inside cabin. _________________ 1.5 DCi - DLS (T RED) - Logan Club

Ac/blower and ignition is off during refilling. Still I get the smell of petrol. And the vent is always set for the inner circulation mode.

While filling the petrol tank, though the windows are closed, you might be opening at least the driver side window or door to be able to make the payment. do you think this is how you smell petrol for a while immediately after filling. Otherwise i have not experienced any such thing. Smell for some while, after filling petrol would not be termed as a major issue unless it is established that there is some leakage inside cabin, in which case the smell will be persistent.

Have just completes a full service (under warranty) of the AC system. Besides the problem of the non functioning Air vent controller (bottom left knob) where the cable had come loose, they cleared the problem I was having with external air entering cabin with vent closed. However, as Logan does not have an airfilter inside AC, the coils were clogged badly with dirt after 18 months of use, this costed Rs. 1200 extra to clean.

the car has run close to 20000km in 1yr 9months. Unlike window ACs at home, where there is a removable filter that catches 90% of dirt that you can wash, this does not exist as factory fitted in Logan. So all dust that is circulating or leaves that get sucked into the AC system if the fresh air vent is open gets stuck directly on the cooling coils inside. The cooling has vastly improved and though I am Rs1200 poorer I am happy for it!
